Sharing Your Story: A Step Toward Healing and Empowerment for Survivors
Sharing your story as a residential school, day school, or 60’s Scoop survivor can be an empowering and therapeutic step on your journey of healing. By telling your story, you reclaim your voice and take control of your narrative. It can provide an opportunity for personal reflection, and in doing so, help to process and heal past trauma. Your story can also inspire others who have experienced similar pain, showing them they are not alone. We understand that sharing such personal experiences can be difficult, which is why we offer the option to remain anonymous. Your story is unfiltered and uncensored, allowing you to express yourself freely and authentically, without fear of judgment or limitation. If you’re ready to share, you can submit your story directly to us by emailing it to admin@quiltsforsurvivors.ca, or you can use our submission form to keep your identity anonymous. We will respect your privacy, and your story can be posted on our website as part of a collective healing space. By sharing your experience, you not only help yourself on your path to healing, but also contribute to a broader conversation that fosters understanding, connection, and support for all survivors.
Share Your Healing Quilt Story: Inspire and Support Fellow Survivors
We invite survivors to share their testimonials about how receiving a “healing quilt” has impacted their journey of recovery. Your story can provide hope and encouragement to others who may be hesitant or uncertain about reaching out for support. By sharing your experience, you help others understand the transformative power of quilts and how they can bring comfort, warmth, and a sense of connection during challenging times. These testimonials will be featured on our website, creating a safe space for survivors to see they are not alone. Your words could inspire someone else to request a quilt, knowing they too can experience the healing and support that a quilt can offer.
You can submit your testimonial by emailing it to admin@quiltsforsurvivors.ca or by clicking below.
